Workshop : Paul Rand, forms and colors !

Workshop - for kids ages 4 and up

After the discovery and the reading of Paul Rand's albums, we will explore as him the magic of colors and forms, creating personal and original combinations). We will have fun with the words, their sounds and we willl tell simple and beautiful stories. The experiment of techniques such as the collage, the painting and the line drawing for the realization of the illustrations, will evoke the graphics handwriting of this innovative artist.

Paul Rand ( 1914-1996 ) is more one of major figures of the American graphics. He breathed a wind of freshness, boldness and innovation in the design and in the visual communication. It was inspired by artists such as Paul Klee, Crumbs Van der Rohe, Kandinsky or still Corbusier.
